The digital Green Card is now the standard

the customer portal,
the mobile app,
or email.
Please note: it remains mandatory in Belgium
Even if it is digital, you must be able to present it during: lors :

Yes, in most European countries.
Belgium follows the rules of the Council of Bureaus (CoB), which has authorized the digital Green Card since 2020.

Documents to present when selling a vehicle
In Belgium, when selling a vehicle, the Green Card is not a required document to be handed over to the buyer.
Required documents for the sale:
· Pre-sale technical inspection report (used car inspection)
Car-pass
· Registration certificate (carte grise)
· Certificate of Conformity (COC)
· Pink form (filled out by the buyer for their new registration)
